Dakshinpuri Women Handicrafts

On 28th December 2018, Nav Anubhuti organised a training session where the women of Dakshinpuri learnt how to make useful handicrafts from paper mache. The training session saw an increase in the number of participants and a lot of items were made. The pictures of the same have been posted on the blog. You can purchase these items once they are finished.

On 27th December 2018, the Green Club, constituting Dakshinpuri children whose ages vary from 8 years to 15 years, met in order to discuss the content of their skits.These skits will be performed on 27th January 2019 to celebrate Republic day. These children, who had divided themselves into different groups, recited whatever they had prepared till that day. Several of them had prepared a skit on 'Waste Management' whereas another group decided to highlight two main topics 'Waste Management' and 'Condition of senior citizens in our country'. It was a delightful experience to watch these future environmentalists go about reciting their skits. The programme concluded with refreshments.

Dear all  Yesterday,i.e., on 21st December 2018 Nav Anubhuti continued the training programme it had started on 20th December 2018. The main aim of yesterday's session was "how to make bags from waste paper". It was found that not only did the participants from 20th December come yesterday , they even brought friends too. Not only did more women come to the session there were children too eager to learn as to how should they help in keeping their environment clean. The training session was a big success and several paper bags were made by the participants. Interested people may purchase these bags from Nav Anubhuti. Dear all Yesterday's training session, in which several women from Dakshinpuri took part, was a huge success. These women learned that whatever they perceived to be 'waste' could be used to make something beautiful. Moreover, some of these women even brought their children to the session too with the latter feeling enlightened after the training.
